Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Knights hit the road on Tuesday as they headed down to Pensacola, Florida to take on the 6
th-ranked Argonauts of the University of West Florida. The Knights were coming off of a draw against Albany State University and looking for the upset win.
The possession was even between both teams early in the first half as the Knights and Argonauts each fired off multiple shots. The Argonauts were the first to score with a goal in the 21
st minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Argonauts started to take over the match as they continued to get shots off and pulled further ahead with goals in the 35
th and 38
th minutes as the Knights faced a 3-0 deficit going into halftime. The Argonauts kept their offensive pressure up in the second half as the Knights defense was tested. The Knights finally found an opportunity in the 65
th minute as
Karolin Persson was able to get off a shot that found the net and put the Knights on the scoreboard. The Knights were able to get off one more shot late in the match but the Argonauts keeper made the save and the Knights lost 3-1.
Hollie Keefe made six saves on the night.
The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, October 18
th as they head to Dahlonega, Georgia to take on the 4
th-ranked Nighthawks of the University of North Georgia. Kick off is scheduled for 4 PM EST.
